My hubby happens to be a brilliant man.

One night, I am sitting at home in my PJ’s when my hubby bursts through the front door carrying armfuls of bags. This happens to be one of my favorite surprises because it usually means I get Chipotle and surprises. 🙂


As he unpacked the bags and revealed all the goodies, I stumbled upon a green bottle with a picture of Psy on the front. As I turned the bottle over in my hands, my hubby gushed (yes he gushed) about how he randomly found it and knew since I have a love for Psy and his music, he just had to buy it. 

Have you ever tried soju? It’s a delightfully delicious spirit (one that reminds me a lot of sake) that I have been falling in love with. As I was doing research for some Korean recipes, I started looking at cocktail recipes and there it was – SOJU.

Thus my hubby’s random pick turned into a genius moment of brilliance. Even better, I stumbled upon a yummy tangy cocktail made with soju, which is apparently a Korean staple. I have to say, I was a little nervous to try it once I saw that drinkable yogurt was an ingredient, but it actually tastes great!


I went with vanilla for my first attempt at the cocktail, however there are so many other fruit combinations you can choose from – strawberry, strawberry banana, tropical fruit, etc.

It’s delicious, refreshing, and tangy. Also unbelievably light, so don’t be surprised if you power through three of these guys and don’t remember how it happened…

Soju Yogurt Cocktail

Yield: 2 cocktails

A traditional Korean drink that is tangy, smooth, and refreshing!


  • 3 oz Soju
  • 4 oz Sprite (or any other lemon-lime soda)
  • 2 oz drinkable yogurt (in any flavor, I used vanilla bean)


  1. Add soju and yogurt to a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously and then add Sprite. Stir in the Sprite and strain into rocks glasses filled with ice.
