There’s nothing like a cocktail that is both sparkly and spicy!
I feel like I have been running a marathon every day lately. Between work and planning and social engagements and recipe testing, I am starting to feel a little burnt out. I have also started to lose my ability to put my thoughts into words because I am going a million miles per minute. Basically I am a 5 year old running around in a 20-something’s body, though somehow I am able to cook without chopping off a finger or burning my face off.
Also, I can reward myself with a cocktail at the end of an extremely long day.
I always struggle when I start to burn myself out. Part of me wants to keep going just to get everything done and another part of me screams for a nap and an entire weekend of doing nothing. This is the point I am reaching this week. I definitely am in need of a long bubble bath with candles and a really good book/magazine…
It’s this kind of lull that leaves me wanting something new when it comes to what I am eating/drinking that day. This little sparkler was exactly the pick-me-up I needed to pull me out of my funk.
Of course, sparkly cocktails are magnificent. However the ginger is the real star here. It gives you that little spicy kick with just the right amount of bubbles. It says “Hey! Wake up and brighten up! It’s going to be a beautiful day!”
Can you hear it?
It perks me up every time I make it. 🙂
