Truffle Parmesan Popcorn
I know, I know, I need to put the truffle oil down and back away.
I just can’t help it. I have been literally CRAVING it.
And with popcorn and cheese? Oh yes. That’s the good stuff.
Whenever I eat popcorn, I always think about going to the movie theater. For some reason, that was the only time I really ever had popcorn (probably because I had braces and my mom actually listened to the orthodontist when he said NO POPCORN…. I chose to tune that little detail out. Same with chewing gum. I was a rebel child, obviously). Movie theater popcorn was the BEST back then. That was before all the popcorn people gave us movie theater style popcorn in microwavable bags (if you don’t remember that time, well don’t tell me. I can’t handle feeling old right now). I remember getting a huge bag and adding a grossly unhealthy amount of butter. Then I would make it the best popcorn ever by dumping in a box of Junior Mints.
If you haven’t tried, popcorn with Junior Mints, you are seriously missing out on one of the best flavor combinations of all time. It literally defined my childhood. When I think about childhood food it’s chocolate chip cookies, turkey sandwiches, and combining popcorn with Junior Mints.
It is almost as good as this popcorn I made for you today.
- 1 bag white corn popcorn with butter
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 Tbsp truffle oil
- Pop the bag of popcorn according to instructions on package. In a bowl, mix popcorn, parmesan cheese, parsley, and truffle oil. Serve immediately.
