Grapefruit Vodka Cocktail
A salty-sour grapefruit vodka cocktail that’s crisp, citrusy, and super refreshing. This easy drink, known as a Salty Dog, is ideal for brunches or casual get-togethers.

- Rocks glasses (or similar short glasses)
- Citrus juicer (for fresh grapefruit juice)
- Small plate or bowl for rimming salt
- Ice cubes
- Optional: cocktail shaker for mixing if you like a slightly aerated drink
Ingredients
- 1 cup vodka
- 1 1/2 cups fresh grapefruit juice
- Coarse kosher salt
- Ice cubes
- Grapefruit wedges or slices
Instructions
- Use the grapefruit wedges to moisten the rims of two rocks glasses. Rim the glasses with coarse salt. Set aside.
- Fill 4 cocktail glasses with ice.
- Divide vodka between the salt-rimmed glasses.
- Top with grapefruit juice. Stir to combine.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or slice. Serve.
