marinated mozzarella balls

Easy and fresh, these marinated mozzarella balls make the perfect appetizer for any gathering!

ingredients

  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • 2 Tbsp fresh basil finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp fresh thyme finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp fresh oregano finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 16 oz bocconcini or ciliegine mozzarella drained

instructions

  • Stir together olive oil, garlic, herbs, red pepper flakes, and salt in a large bowl.
  • Add mozzarella balls and stir to coat.
  • Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour, but longer is better. The longer they sit, the better they will taste!
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
