Air Fryer Roasted Garlic

Using the air fryer takes half the time than it takes in your oven! Just 2 ingredients and no prep required.

ingredients

  • 1 whole garlic head
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil

instructions

  • Cut the top of the garlic bulb off with a sharp knife, making sure to cut off the tops of every clove.
  • Place the bulb on a small sheet of aluminum foil and drizzle with oil.
  • Wrap the bulb in aluminum foil and place in your air fryer basket.
  • Set air fryer to 390˚F. Air fry for 20 to 25 minutes, until the garlic begins to caramelize and the top turns golden brown.
  • Remove from the air fryer carefully with oven mitts or tongs. Once cool enough to handle, remove from foil and squeeze out clove to store or use immediately.
  • Serve in pasta dishes, dips, salad dressings, sandwiches, garlic bread, and more.

notes

To preserve and store: Place whole head in a ziplock bag and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. You can also preserve the whole cloves in oil in a jar with herbs, chili pepper flakes, and lemon zest. The cloves will last up to 20 days this way. Finally, the roasted garlic cloves can be preserved in the freezer in a ziplock bag for up to 4 months.
